The Weeknd Raih Piala 2021 Juno Awards Dan Memenangkan 4 Kategori Utama

The Weeknd mencatat sejarah di ajang yang dipandu oleh Alessia Cara ‘2021 Juno Awards’ yang berlangsung di tanggal 6 Juni, The Weeknd menjadi artis pertama yang untuk kedua kalinya menyapu bersih piala untuk lima kategori utama.

Sang superstar pop asal Kanada itu terpilih sebagai Artist of the Year, dan Songwriter of the Year, yang dibaginya dengan sang kolaborator, Belly alias Ahmad Balshe, dan Jason “DaHeala” Quenneville, selain juga menyabet piala Album of the Year dan Contemporary R&B Recording of the Year berkat album “After Hours”, dan Single of the Year untuk ‘Blinding Lights’.

Prestasi yang sama diraih The Weeknd di tahun 2016 lalu berkat album “Beauty Behind the Madness”, yang menelurkan hits klasik seperti ‘Can’t Feel My Face’. Sayangnya untuk tahun ini The Weeknd berhalangan hadir untuk menerima pialanya.

Sementara itu Justin Bieber mendapatkan piala Pop Album of the Year berkat “Changes”, yang ketiga di sepanjang karirnya. Ia juga comeback ke panggung Juni setelah absen selama 11 tahun lamanya dengan membawakan ‘Somebody’ dari sebuah studio di Los Angeles.
